To send off 2020 in style, Evo Magazine has released the first part of its annual Car of the Year test and it is filed with all kinds of impressive performance machines.
In total, the test includes 16 cars, consisting of the BMW M2 CS, McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD, Toyota GR Yaris, Aston Martin DBX, Ariel Nomad R, Porsche Cayman GTS, Audi RS7, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Volkswagen Golf GTI, Morgan Plus Four, Ferrari F8 Tributo, and the Alpine A110 S.
This clip showcases each and every one of these cars but only provides us with brief insights as to what it is like to drive them on the picturesque Anglesey Circuit.

As you may have noticed from the list of cars featured, they’re not all high-performance supercars like the McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F8 Tributo, and Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD. Indeed, there are some rather interesting inclusions such as the Aston Martin DBX and the Ariel Nomad R, which are far from track-day specials but are heaps of fun to drive and leave you with a big smile on your face.
Last year, it was the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 that was named Car of the Year by Evo Magazine. In walking away with the award, it joined other Porsches such as the 911R, first-gen Cayman GT4, 991.1 911 GT3, 911 GT3 RS 4.0, 997.2 911 GT3 RS, 997.1 911 GT3 RS, 997.1 911 Carrera S, 996.2 911 GT3, and the 996 911 Turbo S in receiving the same distinction since 2000.
Will the Porsche Cayman GTS and 911 Turbo S continue Porsche’s dominance of Evo’s Car of the Year award, or will a brand new victor emerge?
