The Blade Runner/Ghost in the Shell-inspired action role playing game, Cyberpunk 2077, has just launched across all appropriate gaming platforms, and the initial reviews are already in.
Aside from allowing you access to several interesting machines, such as a motorcycle from the Akira manga and a car inspired by the movie Mad Max: Fury Road, Cyberpunk 2077 also features a massive open world.
In fact, word has it that the game’s main urban area, Night City, could be up to two times bigger than GTA V’s largest city, Los Santos, spanning around 24 square kilometers (9.26 square miles). Overall though, GTA’s open world is still bigger.

This game has been 8 years in the making and according to IGN, its developer CD Projekt Red really hit one out of the park, especially with the quality of the “side missions”, which tie into the main narrative and can dramatically alter your character’s story arc.
Of course, if you’re more interested in the driving aspect rather than the actual story or action, rest assured that you’ll be able to roam around this futuristic landscape as much as you want. In fact, the game’s developer recently announced the inclusion of a classic Porsche 911 Turbo (930). The car will be tied to the character Johnny Silverhand, played and portrayed by none other than Keanu Reeves.
Anyway, whether you’re behind the wheel or strapped on top of a futuristic crotch rocket, you’ll be able to switch between camera angles for a more immersive experience – GTA’s first-person camera was never its strong suit.
In the end, while it remains to be seen if it will ever come close to raking in as much money as Grand Theft Auto V, Cyberpunk 2077 looks like it can certainly grab the spotlight for the time being.
