The 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S has been leaving all of its rivals in its dust but how does it compare to the king of the 991 range, the GT2 RS?
To find out, YouTuber 888MF gathered the two together for a series of drag races to see which would come out on top. Unfortunately, the three drag races were held on a damp circuit, impacting the acceleration of both cars and, at the same time, giving the Turbo S with its all-wheel drive an obvious advantage.

The 911 Turbo S features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that’s good for 641 hp and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, seriously impressive figures and enough to send the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in roughly 2.5 seconds under ideal conditions.
By comparison, the GT2 RS also features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six, only with 690 hp at 7,000 rpm and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. It also weighs less than the new Turbo S but is rear-wheel drive, making it much more difficult to launch off the line, particularly in the wet.
Despite this, the driver of the GT2 RS is able to get a good launch in the first race and uses the extra power to pull clear of the Turbo S. In the second race, it is the Turbo S that proves to be too much for the hardcore, track-day special, while the third, and final, is the closest of the three.
