A replica of the burgundy red SF1000 F1 car used during Ferrari’s 1000th F1 Grand Prix earlier this year was auctioned off through RM Sotheby’s, along with various memorabilia.

The car is a faithful replica of the real thing and has even been signed by Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel. A second identical replica is set to go on display at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.

The auction was held exclusively online, taking place between December 7 – 14, while also coinciding with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the 17th and final round of the 2020 season.

Other goodies that were up for grabs include genuine race suits and gloves signed by the two Scuderia Ferrari drivers, in the same color as the car, as well as two rear wing endplates from an SF1000 (also autographed by Leclerc and Vettel). Then there’s the race suit / gloves combo used by Mick Schumacher over the Mugello race weekend when he drove his father’s F2004.

Last but not least, two Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Experience packages, each for two people to join the team next season at a Grand Prix of their choice, either in Europe or Abu Dhabi, plus three exclusive Scuderia Ferrari experiences, where another two people will be able to spend two days at the outfit’s headquarters in Maranello, to watch a race from the “remote garage”.

“Scuderia Ferrari is unique in being the only team to have taken part in every season of the Formula 1 World Championship. This year it reached the historic milestone of competing in its one thousandth Grand Prix, which was held at the company’s home track of Mugello. For the occasion, the cars raced in a special livery, featuring the colour used on the first Ferrari car built in Maranello,” said Scuderia Ferrari team principal, Mattia Binotto.

“We chose to commemorate this event by producing two show cars, one of which will be auctioned through RM Sotheby’s. It is an amazing opportunity to acquire a piece of history relating to the most successful team in motor racing’s blue riband category.”
