Not willing to let Ram bask in the glory of the 1500 TRX’s launch for too long, Hennessey Performance has unveiled a potent upgrade package for the 2021 Ford F-150.
The base of the Texas tuner’s latest creation is the F-150 Platinum Edition Super Crew that leaves the Ford factory with a 5.0-liter V8 and a 10-speed automatic transmission complete with four-wheel drive. Dubbed the Venom 800, Hennessey’s F-150 takes things to new heights.
Most notably, the truck’s 5.0-liter V8 has been equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged that runs on 8 psi of boost and is joined by a high-flow cold air induction system, upgraded fuel injectors, upgraded fuel pump, a stainless steel exhaust, E85 flex-fuel sensor, and chassis dyno engine calibration. All up, the boosted truck delivers 805 hp at 6,200 rpm and 727 lb-ft (985 Nm) of torque at 4,100 rpm when running on E85.

Hennessey says the Venom 800 can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.6 seconds thanks to its added grunt and run down the quarter-mile in 11.9 seconds at 116 mph (186 km/h).
A plethora of other modifications have been made to the pickup truck. For example, there is a new Brembo braking system with 6-piston calipers and 15.1-inch cross-drilled steel rotors at the front. The truck also sits on bespoke 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires.
Improving the F-150’s off-road credentials has also been a priority for Hennessey. As such, it has fitted upgraded shocks with external reservoirs and a 6-inch lift kit. There’s also some visual changes include a new front bumper upgrade with LED lights, a Hennessey front grille and unique exterior badging.
Prices kick off at $149,500, excluding delivery, and the tuned F-150 is covered by a 3 year / 36,000-mile warranty.
