Lordstown Motors and Camping World have announced a new partnership which will see the two companies team up on a number of initiatives.
First and foremost, Camping World will be tasked with servicing the Endurance pickup. That’s an unusual arrangement, but Lordstown CEO Steve Burns said they looked at rolling out their own service network and decided to team up with Camping World as they already have a national footprint as well as a history of servicing vehicles.
Needless to say, this should save Lordstown a boatload of money as they won’t have to buy land, construct service centers and hire employees to work at them. It also gives Lordstown an expansive service network right from the get-go as Camping World has over 170 locations and nearly 2,000 service bays.

The partnership could expand in the future as Camping World may eventually sell Endurance pickups. However, the primary goal is provide service to owners.
Besides announcing the service agreement, the two companies said they’re working together to electrify recreational vehicles. The executives didn’t go into many specifics, but said they’re “exploring the development of new EV products and solutions for the RV marketplace based on the Endurance platform, including a lithium-ion battery pack for travel trailers that would replace conventional gasoline onboard generators, the first, all electric, high volume production RV (eRV) and installation of a Good Sam charging network at Camping World locations.”
That isn’t much to go on, but the CEOs confirmed a travel trailer and fifth wheel will be introduced next year. However, they sound like prototypes rather than production models.
Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis also mentioned a Class E motorhome. Little is known about it, but he suggested it would be relatively affordable and cost less than $100,000 (£74,338 / €82,277).
