The 2021 Tokyo Auto Salon is going digital due to the coronavirus pandemic and Modellista has teased an assortment of models for the upcoming event.

Since fans can’t see the vehicles in person, the company will show tuned versions of the Toyota Mirai and Harrier using augmented reality. This will enable people to check out both models with their smartphone.

Modellista will also highlight their range of accessories for the Mirai and Yaris Cross. For the Mirai, customers can order an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front spoiler, revised side skirts and a sportier rear end. Likewise, the Yaris Cross offers Advance Robust, Elegant Ice and Smart Edge body kits with similar changes.

The models will be joined by a motorsport-inspired Toyota 86 by TRD. It features a ventilated hood, canards and a massive rear wing. We can also see a front splitter, lightweight wheels and aerodynamic side skirts.

There will also be modified versions of the GR Supra and GR Yaris. Both have apparently been equipped with aggressive body kits and lightweight wheels.

Lastly, Modellista will showcase a Noah minivan by “gearholic members who appeared in the outdoor magazine GO OUT.” Little is known about the van, but the company said this part of the show will focus on the “growing popularity of staying in the car” as part of the “new lifestyle of Corona.”

While a lot of questions remain, the models will be unveiled on January 15th at 9:00 am local time.
