Skoda Octavia vRS iV, Octavia iV And Superb iV Are Ready To Join The UK’s Electrified Blue-Light Squad

Britain’s police, ambulance and fire and rescue services can now order Skoda’s new electrified vehicles, the Octavia vRS iV, Octavia iV and Superb iV, each one available in two body styles.

Marketed as being “ideal for any rapid response police unit”, the Octavia vRS iV is powered by a 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine and an electric motor.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain generates a combined output of 245 PS (242 HP / 180 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint of 7.3 seconds and a 225 km/h (140 mph) top speed. The 13 kWh lithium-ion battery offers an electric range of up to 63 km (39 miles).

Standard features include adaptive full LED Matrix headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, 10-inch touchscreen display and 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, among others.

Positioned right under the vRS model, the Octavia iV will join the emergency service fleet. The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a 1.4-liter TSI engine paired to an electric motor and a 13 kWh battery, with a total output of 204 PS (201 HP / 150 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, and up to 69 km (43 miles) of range on zero emissions.

Packing the same unit as the Octavia iV and the Octavia vRS iV, albeit de-tuned to 218 PS (215 HP / 160 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), and an electric range of 60 km (37 miles), the Superb iV completes the brand’s blue-light range.

All vehicles will receive the bespoke emergency service conversion treatment, including the 360-degree lighting and the full integration of the communication system into the infotainment system.
