Vauxhall has collaborated with Wellhouse Leisure, a British specialist with more than 15 years of experience in building and converting camper vans, to launch a home-away-from-home variant of the Vivaro.
Based on the Elite range-topping trim level, which starts at £33,368.33 ($44,996) locally in the double cab body style, the Vivaro Elite Campervan will be available to order next year, priced from £46,000 ($62,029).
Some of the on-board amenities include a folding bed, 12V and 240V power units, a 2.2 kW heating system, 25-liter compressor fridge, water tank and gas-powered kitchen with two hobs, while the appliances are powered and recharged by the 100W solar panel and leisure battery.

The Vivaro Elite Campervan offers seating for four and the front seats can rotate. An optional fifth seat will also be available, alongside the elevated roof system with an upper bed, which will also cost extra.
Elsewhere, the vehicle features 17-inch wheels, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, semi-adaptive cruise control, Navi Pro infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and head-up display, among others.
Despite the conversion, the Vivaro Elite Campervan is still covered by the brand’s 3-year/100,000-mile (160,934-km) warranty.
Vauxhall will also launch an electric version of the camper van in 2021, which will be based on the Vivaro-e. The zero-emission variant uses a 136 PS (134 HP / 100 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque electric motor, which is powered by two battery options. The 50 kWh unit enables a range of 230 km (143 miles) on the WLTP cycle, and the larger 75 kWh gives it up to 330 km (205 miles) on a single charge in the stock model.
