Unless you can afford to spend really serious money on a car, these Ford GTs are well out of reach. However, if money was no issue, would you rather own the 2018 GT or a 2005 one?
The two cars are being auctioned off by Mecum at its Kissimmee event running from January 7-16, 2021. They have very similar exterior and interior configurations and neither has been driven all that much.

Starting with the 2018 model, it is finished in Triple Yellow with black racing stripes and has 1,665 miles (2,679 km) on the clock. It sits on 20-inch gloss black forged aluminum wheels and is also being sold with the available carbon fiber 10-spoke rims complete with titanium lug nuts.
The cabin features black Sparco carbon fiber racing seats clad in Alcantara, a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster and a 6.5-inch infotainment system. Taking into consideration the remarkable sums that other used 2017 and 2018 GTs are fetching, this one will likely sell for over $1 million.
As for the 2005 Ford GT, it is finished in Speed Yellow, making it one of just 19 in this color for the 2005 model year. It too has black racing stripes, grey-painted brake calipers and lightweight BBS forged aluminum wheels. This car is number 320 of the 2,022 examples produced and has 7,100 miles (11,426 km) on the clock, which is not much when you consider its age.
