If you don’t know what a Lucra LC470 Roadster is, you’d be forgiven as it’s anything but a household name. Still, it is one serious piece of kit.

The company was founded in 2006 by Luke Richards, who grew up in Europe and moved to the States as a teenager. His goal was to combine the maneuverability of Europe’s supercars with the straight-line performance of American vehicles, and the result was the LC470 Roadster.

Built on a custom chassis with a carbon fiber body, the LC470 Roadster came with a choice of three engines: a Mercedes-AMG 6.3-liter V8, a GM LS3 6.3-liter V8 and an LS7 7.0-liter V8, which is the mill powering this example. It pumps out 650 HP, is paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and rockets the 2,000-pound (907-kg) supercar to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds, and up to a top speed in excess of 200 mph (322 km/h).

This is car #62 out of an estimated 63 made, and will be auctioned off by WorldWideAuctioneers in Scottsdale on January 23, at 1:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. CET). It has just a little over 9,000 miles (14,484 km) on the clock and the vendor boldly claims that it is “the reason that the Ferrari F50 still sleeps with a nightlight”.
