With the latest B3 Sedan that was unveiled close to the end of 2019, Alpina has created a great premium sports saloon without stepping on the new BMW M3’s toes.

The B3 Sedan was recently subjected to a fast lap of the Sachsenring. AutoBildSportsCars put Guido Naumann in the driver’s seat, who took it across the finish line in a blistering 1:36.67.

This makes it faster than the Mercedes-AMG GT (1.36.80), AMG C63 S (1:36.96), Lamborghini Urus (1:36.99) and SLR McLaren (1.37.10), according to FastestLaps. The Porsche 991 Targa 4S completed the course in 1:36.66, while the 718 Boxster GTS and BMW M6 Competition did a 1:36.62 and 1:36.20 respectively. The undisputed king at the German track is the McLaren Senna, with a time of 1:25.19.
