Shortly after the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport started to arrive in dealership lots across the United States, one example has been fitted with a set of off-road tires, a modification that has overhauled the overall look of the SUV.

This particular Bronco Sport comes from ALPHAequipt Wheels and is an Outer Banks model that typically runs on a set of 18-inch wheels with 225/60 tires. Eager to give the SUV a unique look and some added off-road credentials, the company has fitted 17×7.5 ALPHAequipt Foxtrot wheels and 245/65 BFGoodrich tires.

The wheel manufacturer says that the beefed-up tires don’t rub against the arches and don’t impact the speedometer.

Much like the full-size Bronco, the Bronco Sport should prove popular to upgrade and modify, with various aftermarket companies no doubt developing customization options for the SUV. Think suspension lifts, more rugged bumpers, snorkels, LED light bars, roof racks, and other accessories to make the Bronco Sport even more capable along off-road trails than it already is.

The Bronco Sport is being built at Ford’s Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico. It is available with two turbocharged engines, a 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder that pumps out 181 hp and 190 lb-ft (257 Nm) of torque and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder rated at 245 hp and 275 lb-ft (372 Nm).
