2022 Cadillac CT4-V And CT5-V Blackwings Shown Ahead Of Their Debut On Monday

Cadillac has used the Rolex 24 at Daytona to reveal the 2022 CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwings, ahead of their official debut on February 1st at 7 p.m. ET.

As you can see, both models closely echo their mainstream counterparts but are distinguished by aggressive front fascias with larger air intakes and special ducting.

The changes don’t stop there as the cars have an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, a rear spoiler and canards on the CT4-V Blackwing. The models also have ventilated front fenders and unique side skirts.

Cadillac is keeping coy on specifics, but the company has already revealed plenty about the upcoming models. While they’re not shown in photo, the cars will be offered with forged magnesium wheels that promise to reduce weight as well as improve ride and handling characteristics.

Inside, drivers will find a digital instrument cluster and a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with carbon fiber accents. CT5-V Blackwing buyers will also be able to opt for carbon fiber front seats with laser-etched V-Series logos.

Performance specifications remain unconfirmed, but the CT4-V Blackwing is expected to have an upgraded version of the twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 that powered the ATS-V. It produced 464 hp (346 kW / 470 PS) and 445 lb-ft (603 Nm) of torque, so expect a slight improvement over those numbers.

The CT5-V Blackwing is slated to have a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with around 650 hp (485 kW / 659 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. Cadillac has already hinted this will enable the car to hit a top speed of 200 mph (322 km/h).

Both Blackwings will come standard with a six-speed manual transmission that promises to be “quieter and more durable” than the manuals used in the ATS- and CTS-V. Customers will also be able to order an optional ten-speed automatic gearbox.

Cadillac will release full details on Monday and begin accepting reservations for a $1,000 refundable deposit.
