The latest Chiron Pur Sport featured by Bugatti has been testing on the road between Dubai and Hatta. The car, finished in Jaune Molsheim and Carbon was driven by test driver Andy Wallace.

Wallace is a veteran endurance racer, having who has multiple class victories at Le Mans, as well as multiple victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. He’s also the first driver to take a hypercar over 300 mph.

That was a lightly modified Chiron and done as part of his day job as Bugatti Pilote Officiel. This drive sees lower speeds, because the Pur Sport is designed more for cornering excellence than top speed.

The shots you see were taken in an exclave of the Emirate of Dubai, about 100 km (62 miles) south-east of the city. The twisting roads through the Hajar Mountains skirt its border with Oman.

The tight, turning roads are the perfect place for the Pur Sport that has been modified to allow for better handling. Everything down to the gearing, which is 15% shorter to allow for better acceleration, has been considered.

With that updated gearing, the Pur Sport hits 62 mph in just 2.3 seconds, 0.1 seconds faster than the standard car.
