The original Ford Bronco has become a favorite among the restomod community in recent years and a particularly desirable example is currently available via an online auction.
This Bronco originally left the factory painted in a shade of green but its body was then removed from the frame before being stripped and various parts, including the hood, passenger-side front fender, tailgate, and floors being replaced. The body was then repainted in a shade of dark metallic red with a matte black hardtop, matte black wheel arches, and matte black bumpers. The frame has also been reinforced and powder coated black.

Thanks to the strengthened frame, the off-roader was outfitted with a modified 5.0-liter Coyote V8 from Modular Motorsports Racing paired with a rebuilt ZF five-speed manual transmission and an Atlas II dual-range transfer case. The Bring A Trailer listing doesn’t reveal how much grunt this engine has but says it includes a forged shortblock, an upgraded oil pump, new cylinder heads, camshaft sockets, and new spark plug covers.
Helping to improve the vehicle’s off-road credentials are 17-inch Fuel Zephyr wheels with Toyo A/T Open Country tires measure 35×12.5 at all four corners. A 2-inch body lift and 2.5-inch suspension lift were also fitted while the front axle includes manually-locking hubs.
The inside is just as nice as the outside and includes power-adjustable front seats from a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and reupholstered in black leather with quilted inserts and red contrast stitching. Also featured is a Sony touchscreen head unit, a roll cage, Classic Auto air conditioning system, and an aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel. The Bronco has been driven just 270 miles since its transformation.
