The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing models will be unveiled very soon, but for those not willing to wait for a new high-performance Cadillac, Hennessey Performance has the answer.
The Texas tuner has been modifying the CTS-V for a number of years now and offers an extreme HPE1000 upgrade package for it. The car featured in this video features this very performance kit and will no doubt leave the new CT5-V Blackwing in its dust.
As standard, the third-generation CTS-V is powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 pumping out 640 hp at 6,400 rpm and 630 lb-ft (854 Nm) of torque at 3,600 rpm, meaning it still has more oomph than brand new European rivals like the Audi RS6, Mercedes-AMG E63 S, and BMW M5 Competition.

In turning the CTS-V into a 1,000 hp monster, Hennessey equips it with a large supercharger, new camshaft, ported cylinder heads, long-tube stainless steel headers, upgraded valve springs and retainers, upgraded intake valves, exhaust valves, lifters, pushrods, and a new heat exchanger. Also included in the HPE1000 kit are an upgraded fuel system, high-flow air-to-air intercooler, high-flow catalytic converters, and a software upgrade.
Not only does the finished item deliver supercar levels of performance but thanks to its new exhaust system, it sounds absolutely incredible and is about as insane as a family sedan can get. Hennessey claims a CTS-V with its HPE1000 upgrade can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and sprint down the quarter-mile in 10.1 seconds at 135 mph.
