The Tesla Model S and Model X are long overdue for a substantial update, with the former receiving a minor facelift in 2016, and the latter remaining largely unchanged visually since its debut in 2015. There have been many rumors about a possible upcoming refresh for these vehicles as of recent, and these photos seem to fan the flame.

The photos, posted by Twitter user Sawyer Merritt, come from a drone flyover from YouTuber Gabeincal of Tesla’s Fremont factory. They depict 3 covered vehicles on trailers in a line, and in some closeup shots, they seems to resemble the silhouettes of the S and X with slightly sharper edges.

Twitter users were quick to note that it seemed unusual that Tesla would have them sitting out completely covered when they have hundred of other finished, uncovered cars all over the premises. Teslarati also reported that there are a few other covered vehicles in the footage, but those appear to be Model 3s and/or Model Ys based on their shape. “The three bodies-in-white captured on video, however, featured a long hood and curved rear, which are trademark features of the Model S and Model X,” noted the EV site.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but is it possible that these three covered vehicles are the long-awaited refreshed models? It seems only time will tell, and we wont know definitively until we see an official reveal.
