It was previously reported that the new, 2022 F-150 Raptor could be available with both a V6 and a V8, and now it seems that the six-cylinder, at least, will indeed make a comeback.

The guides, leaked to the f150gen14 forum, are the first hint that the high-output EcoBoost V6 will return for the next generation of the F-150.

Previous spy footage showed an F-150 with what sounded like a V8 under the hood. This suggests that Ford could very well be looking at a two-engine strategy for the new Raptor.

Despite the leak, there are still quite a few questions. The actual output of the V6 is still a mystery, for instance, and there’s still no word of a V8. But it is at least a small insight into the Blue Oval’s plans.

Details about the new Raptor are still scarce, but the leak does confirm a few details about it, such as the fact that it will be available with a Bang & Olufsen sound system with HD radio, an 8 or a 12″ inch screen, and orange accents throughout, as well as a selection of packages.

The leak also shows that the Raptor will come in a range of colors like Rapid Red Tinted, Velocity Blue, Antimatter Blue, Iconic Silver, Agate Black, Oxford White, and more.
