The Mercedes-AMG C 63 can spin its rear wheels at the lightest touch of the throttle. However, you need to turn off the traction control for that, something the driver of this black C 63 S Coupe clearly didn’t know.
This clip was recently shared to Reddit and appears to have been filmed somewhere in Sydney, Australia during a wedding parade. The driver can be seen pulling into the road and starts to floor the accelerator, eager to spin up the rear wheels. Only the Merc wouldn’t play along.
Doing a burnout in a car with as much power as the C63 S is a walk in the park, but the driver of this example clearly didn’t get the memo that he needed to turn off the traction control to do so. Making the scene all the more bizarre is that none of the guys standing on the side of the road thought to tell the driver to put the electronic nanny to sleep.

The driver and owner, a 25-year-old who reportedly won the car in a raffle in 2020, can be heard aggressively revving the C63’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 before it eventually goes pop. White smoke can be seen billowing out from the left exhaust pipe before smoke and flames start to spew out of the left side of the engine.
According to the New South Wales police, despite the efforts of the Fire and Rescue crews, the car was destroyed by the fire, while the driver and two male passengers escaped without injury. Making things worse is the fact that the police have charged the man with dangerous drive manners and negligent driving; he’s set to appear on court on March 11.
