Mercedes has teased the MBUX Hyperscreen, which will be offered on the upcoming EQS.

Set to be introduced tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. CET (8 a.m. ET), the MBUX Hyperscreen will be the “biggest screen ever mounted in a series-built Mercedes-Benz.”

The company is keeping details under wraps, but the teasers suggest the Hyperscreen will span the entire width of the dashboard and feature subtle curves as well as an illuminated upper accent.  The videos also indicate the screen will be broken up into three or four separate display areas.

Two of them are visible and the infotainment display features a large map as well as easy access to media and phone settings. The display also features digital climate controls similar to those used on the new S-Class.

The front passenger gets a display of their own and it appears to be decently sized. Little is known about this particular display, but it will presumably be entertainment focused. This means it could be used to watch videos or possibly even browse the internet.

The display seems like a natural extension of Mercedes’ SplitView technology, which allows the infotainment system to show separate things to the driver and front passenger. As an example, the driver can see navigation information while the front seat passenger watches a movie.

Mercedes was coy on additional information, but has previously said the MBUX Hyperscreen will feature artificial intelligence and be “highly capable of learning.” Following its debut tomorrow, the Hyperscreen will be detailed at CES next week.
