McLaren Automotive has come a long way in the last decade and while the original MP4-12C didn’t receive the same critical acclaim as its rival, the Ferrari 458 Italia, it is still a very impressive car and now, is available for very reasonable prices on the used car market.
A browse through the classifieds reveals that there are dozens of used MP4-12Cs on sale in the United States, many of which are being offered for less than $100,000. That’s quite cheap compared to the supercar’s original MSRP of $229,000 in 2012. This particular MP4-12C for sale through Bring A Trailer is one example that could prove to be a real bargain.

The listing reveals that this MP4-12C was originally delivered to McLaren San Francisco and purchased new by the seller. It is painted McLaren Orange with a piano black roof. It also features a carbon fiber front splitter, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser, while also sporting small Union Jack flags on the rear quarter panels. It rolls on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 235/35 and 305/30 respectively, and comes with carbon-ceramic brakes.
The cabin sports bucket seats clad in black leather with Alcantara inserts. Other parts of the interior are also clad in Alcantara, while orange contrasting stitching is also found throughout.
Powering the MP4-12C is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft that produces 592 hp and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. This example is equipped with the optional Sport Exhaust and, when new, had a sticker price of $293,552.
