Peugeot has revised the e-Traveller electric MPV, launching it with a new battery option. The 75 kWh unit, which is offered in addition to the standard 50 kWh battery, allows it to travel for up to 322 km (200 miles) on the WLTP2 standard, a notable 95-km (59-mile) improvement.

Power is still supplied by a small electric motor that generates 136 PS (134 HP / 100 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The 50 kWh version of the e-Traveller can accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a very modest 13.1 seconds and has a 130 km/h (80 mph) electronically limited top speed, and it should perform almost identical with the new battery option that lies under the floor.

From a visual standpoint, nothing has changed over its lesser sibling, as it still features the exclusive grille design, ‘e-Traveller’ monogram at the rear, special ‘Lion’ logos at both ends and a charging port on the left front fender.

Customers opting for the new version of the zero-emission MPV will get gizmos such as the head-up display, infotainment system with exclusive graphics and TomTom 3D satellite navigation, drive mode selector that lets users switch between the Eco, Normal and Power, e-toggle automatic gearbox control, electric parking brake and so on.

The e-Traveller is already available in Germany where it’s offered in two trim levels named the Active and Allure. Pricing for the 50 kWh battery model starts at €55,900 ($67,609) and €63,160 ($76,390) respectively, and with the new 75 kWh battery option, customers will have to pay at least €61,900 ($74,866) and €69,160 ($83,647) respectively.
