The Mercedes-Benz X-Class may no longer be in production following its less-than-stellar sales, yet it remains one of the more interesting pickup trucks launched in recent memory. And while the alterations made by Chelsea Truck Company may not be to everyone’s taste, we’re sure some will love them.

This particular X-Class is being sold by the British tuner with an asking price of £45,999 ($63,591), but that figure doesn’t include the ‘HE11 WAR’ license plates that are sold separately for £20,000 ($27,648).

One of the first components of this X-Class that stands out is the canopy over the bed, which has a significant impact on how the SUV looks. The British tuner has also fitted a set of 22-inch RS-XF wheels and complemented them with flared front and rear arches.

Elsewhere, Merc’s pickup truck is rocking a new bumper, a distinctive front grille and a vented hood. This new fascia has been complemented nicely by protective guards on the doors, while Chelsea Truck Company is also happy to equip customer cars with bulletproof glass.

Various upgrades have been made to the interior as well. These include front and rear seats upholstered in quilted soft leather with contrast stitching and signature Kahn door panels, while the new leather upholstery extends across the gear selector, center arm rest, dashboard, and door armrests.
