Bugatti has been growing its range of Chiron-based models in recent years with the introduction of vehicles like the Divo, Centodieci, Chiron Pur Sport, Chiron Super Sport, and the one-off La Voiture Noire. One thing the French automaker has yet to do is create an off-road variant of the Chiron which is what these bonkers renderings showcase.
This wild project comes courtesy of Shenzhen-based industrial designer Rafal Czaniecki and is dubbed ‘Terracross.’ Were Bugatti to make it, we’re sure it would quickly become the latest must-have among the world’s elite and is much cooler than any potential Bugatti SUV that may (or may not) launch in the future.

“The concept is a mash-up of two car categories that are quite opposite to each-other: super-fast supercar and 4×4,” Czaniecki told CarScoops. “The car industry is changing, luxury brands are releasing SUVs and exploring new form factors and styles that often makes for surprising and really interesting effects.”
To create the car, Czaniecki jacked up the right height and fitted the hypercar with a set of flared arches to accommodate some massive off-road wheels and tires. Many of the Chiron’s original body panels have been retained but some significant changes have been made to things like the headlights, taillights, and the exhaust, all now featuring hexagonal-shapes.
Any serious off-roader needs protection both front and rear to protect its body so the Terracross has tubular bars at both ends. The designer has also equipped the car with a custom roof rack and an area above the engine cover that supports a spare wheel, perfect for long adventures through the wilderness.
“One of the leading ideas is a 3D printed metal hexagon-based skeleton, enclosed in transparent resin forming wheel arches,” Czaniecki explains. “The motive is carried all around the car – roof cargo, tyre tread, head and tile lights designed cohesively around hexagon form. 3D printed metal rim was designed to show off the possibilities that such technology would give.”
While the designer hasn’t made any mention of what would power the Terracross, it would be most fitting if it were to retain the standard Chiron’s 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16, making for an off-roader unlike any other.
