Ford’s New Bronco 4600 Race Truck Reports For Duty In The Ultra4 Stock Class

Following the reveal of the Bronco 4400 Unlimited race trucks a couple of days ago, Ford Performance is now introducing the Bronco 4600 race truck to the world as their new competitor in the Ultra4 Stock Class.

Based on the 2021 Bronco 2-door with the Sasquatch package, the 4600 race truck uses a stock 2.7-liter V6 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and runs on a competition-tuned suspension with Fox coilover shocks with remote reservoirs and Fox pneumatic bump stops.

The new race version of the 2021 Ford Bronco also features heavy-duty portal front hubs from 74 Weld mounted to Triton Engineering control arms, and heavy-duty hydraulic steering from Howe, complete with a cooler. The factory Dana e-locking front differential is paired to custom RCV halfshafts, while at the back, you’ll find a Dynatrac ProRock XD60 axle with an ARB 35-spline Air Locker and Spidertrax Spider 9 axle shafts and hubs.

The brakes are from Wilwood and the 35-inch BF Goodrich mud-terrain tires are wrapped on forged beadlock wheels from Method Race.

The new Bronco 4600 race truck is also fitted with modified modular steel bumpers from Ford Performance, complete with a winch and off-road Rigid lights. Inside the cabin, you’ll also find a custom roll cage by Geiser Brothers and FIA-certified race buckets from Recaro.

The “war paint” liveries of Ford’s latest race truck are inspired by the factory 2021 Bronco colors Race Red, Oxford White, and Velocity Blue. “Our new ‘war paint’ scheme tells the Bronco race story – upfront is chapter one that traces back to the victorious 1969 Bronco, then, as you travel along the side, the lines get more diagonal, more futuristic, signaling the future of the brand,” said Scott Guan, Bronco designer.

The new Ford Bronco 4600 Stock Class will compete alongside the Bronco 4400 Unlimited in the Ultra4 off-road series.
