The Super Bowl’s second-most popular ad has been removed from Jeep’s YouTube channel. The take-down follows the revelation that its star, Bruce Springsteen, received a DWI in November.
TMZ reported on the DWI case on February 10 at 6:45 AM, with Deadline reporting later that day, at around 3:30 PM, that Jeep had pulled the ad from its YouTube and Instagram pages.
In the commercial, Springsteen drove a Jeep to the geographical center of the United States to speak about unity. The star was a get for Jeep because the rockstar has notably avoided appearing in ads in the past.

The ad appears to have been shot after Springsteen’s DWI. Whether or not Jeep knew about the incident is unknown at this point, but its decision to pull the ad suggests that it would have preferred not to have been associated with such an affair.
According to TMZ, Springsteen was cited on November 14 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey for DWI, reckless driving, and consuming alcohol in a closed park. He was reportedly cooperative through his interactions with the police.
The ad was the second-most viewed of the Super Bowl, following an Amazon spot featuring Michael B. Jordan.
Springsteen will reportedly have a court appearance in the coming weeks. Jeep has not responded to requests for comment yet, while other YouTube channels are still hosting the ad.
