The U.S. launch of the EQC may have been delayed yet again, but on the other side of the pond Mercedes-Benz has extended its range with two new variants, the EQC 400 4Matic and the EQC 400 4Matic AMG Line.
The new base model of Mercedes’ electric crossover is listed from €66,068.80 (equal to $80,134) in Germany, including tax but excluding government incentives, whereas the sportier version has a recommended retail price of €73,208.80 ($88,794).
The EQC 400 4Matic AMG Line gets the eponymous package, which features a black grille with chrome details, specific front apron, glossy black inserts, functional Air Curtains, wider rear apron, nonfunctional air outlets, black diffuser with chrome trim, side mirror casings in the same color as the exterior and 19-inch light alloy wheels in tantalum grey.

Standard gear also includes front sports seats with specific AMG pattern, Artico leather and Dinamica microfiber upholstery, grey topstitching, Nappa-look leather for the dashboard, rose gold or medium grey stitching, black door cards with black stitching, carbon fiber effect trim in anthracite, sports steering wheel wrapped in leather, sports pedals with black rubber studs, chrome door pins and AMG floor mats.
The EQC 400 4Matic AMG Line also features the interior light package, seat comfort package, mirror package, tirefit, easy-pack luggage compartment cover, thermal and noise-insulating glass, advanced sound system, ambient lighting, and active parking assist with parktronic.
Starting January 2021, the Mercedes EQC has an 11 kW onboard charger that allows for much more rapid AC charging of the 80 kWh battery at a home wallbox or at public charging stations. The electric crossover’s dual-motor setup puts out 408 PS (402 HP / 300 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque, enabling it to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds as well as a 180 km/h (112 mph) top speed.
