Porsche has quietly teased a new addition to the 911 GT lineup.
The company is keeping details under wraps, but the “youngest member” of the family will debut on February 16th at 3:00 PM CET (8:00 AM ET) during a livestreamed event featuring Porsche’s Vice President of GT Cars as well as racer Jörg Bergmeister.
That isn’t much to go on, but the teaser shows a 911 with a prominent rear wing. Unfortunately, this isn’t too helpful as huge wings are trademark of Porsche’s GT cars.

While nothing is official, it could be the new 911 GT3. It’s the most likely candidate as Porsche introduced the 911 GT3 Cup in December and held a press preview for the 911 GT3 a month earlier.
If that’s the case, there likely won’t be any major surprises as the 911 GT3 has been testing without camouflage for months. It features a more aggressive front fascia, a ventilated hood, and center locking wheels that are backed up by massive ventilated discs. Other highlights include a sportier rear bumper and a center-mounted dual exhaust system that is flanked by a diffuser. The model also has a massive rear wing, just like the one in the teaser image.
While Porsche is playing coy, the 911 GT3 is expected to have a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces more than 493 hp (368 kW / 500 PS). It’s slated to be paired to a six-speed manual transmission, but a seven-speed PDK gearbox will also be available.
Of course, assuming this is the new 911 GT3, we can expect full details later this month.
