BMW’s Designworks has been tapped to create a new styling language for Sea Ray.
Designed to emphasize sleekness, the styling language features “long, lean and naturally flowing” s-sheer lines, while “athleticism is conveyed with purposeful yet beautiful angles and surfaces illustrating power and movement.”
The first model to feature the new look is the 2021 Sundancer 370 Outboard, which was introduced earlier today. It features flowing lines, subtle curves and a distinctive cockpit.
The latter is partially open and is the ideal place to host dinner parties as it features a wet bar and a flameless Kenyon grill. The cockpit can also be equipped with optional teak tables and a refrigerator.

Below deck, there’s a chic interior which is supposed to feel like a home away from home. It’s bright and airy thanks to hull-side windows and a skylight, while an L-shaped couch allows you to relax while watching a smart TV.
When it comes time to sleep, the couch turns into a bed. Likewise, the mid berth seating area can transform into a queen-sized bed with fill-in cushions.
Other notable highlights include a galley with solid-surface countertops, a refrigerator and an optional microwave. The boat also has a relatively spacious bathroom with a shower.
As the name suggests, the boat is equipped with three Mercury Verado 300 outboard engines. The model also features a “Dual Digital Dash” with available 16-inch Simrad touchscreen displays.
The Sundancer 370 Outboard is currently available to order in North America and Sea Ray design director Charlie Foss noted, “Automotive-inspired design is part of the Sea Ray history, dating back to collaboration with Harley Earl Associates in the early 1960s.”
