Bold thieves were caught on video stealing a number of vehicles from Hawkinson Kia in Matteson, Illinois.
According to CBS 2 Chicago, the thieves arrived at the dealership in a stolen Honda CR-V and quickly made their way to the service door.
Seven people emerged from the vehicle and broke one of the windows to gain access to the building. Once inside, they searched around and eventually discovered a lockbox holding a number of keys.

With the keys in hand, the thieves were able to drive off with a handful of vehicles including what appears to be a Sorento, a Forte and a K5. There’s no word on how many vehicles were taken, but the station reported that “six cars were either stolen or damaged.”
The thieves attempted to smash through the gate blocking the entrance with the stolen CR-V. However, they were unsuccessful, so they ditched the vehicle and escaped in the Kias by driving over a snowbank.
Everything happened in approximately 15 minutes, and the dealership’s manager estimated the loss at between $100,000 – $115,000. It’s also worth noting the vehicles were stolen from the service department, so they likely belonged to customers.
There’s no word on whether or not anyone has been caught, but the thieves wore masks and that could make it difficult to identify them. However, one of them had his arm in a sling while another wore a VLove hoodie.
