If you’re looking for a vehicle that will make you the talk of the town, maybe you would like to take a look at this modified 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air.
The car is heading to the Mecum Auctions event in Glendale in mid-March and is bound to attract quite a lot of attention from attendees thanks to the comprehensive restoration it underwent recently.

RK Motors Performance Center was the company responsible for the frame-off, rotisserie build and equipped the car with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 pumping out 525 hp that’s mated to a GM 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential. The listing doesn’t make any mention of how quickly the car accelerates, but we suspect it has more than enough grunt to leave owners of some modern sports cars scratching their heads.
In overhauling the car, RK Motors equipped it with an Art Morrison chassis and suspension from a C4 Chevrolet Corvette. It also features power rack and pinion steering as well as Baer four-wheel power disc brakes.
A plethora of alterations have also been made to the car’s cabin thanks to Chucks Hot Rod Interiors. In addition to the green and grey leather applied to the door panels, seats, and dashboard, the interior is equipped with a modern audio system, a tilt wheel, climate control, and billet aluminum gauges.
Making this Bel Air all the more desirable is the fact that it has been driven just 1,100 miles (1,770 km) since the restoration.
