As more examples of the Toyota GR Yaris end up in the hands of their owners, some of them have started recording occasional drives and sharing them online.

Nonetheless, the driver did try to be responsible, explaining that “due to safety reasons, I couldn’t push it as hard since I was alone and didn’t know if other cars are coming. Next time I take a friend with me as a marshal”.

Browsing through the man’s videos, we found other footage in which he shows what the GR Yaris can do, and we selected a few clips that follow right after the car’s snowy adventure.
The GR Yaris, which was conceived as a homologation special, has a recommended retail price of €33,200 ($40,059) in Germany, and £29,995 ($41,750) in the UK. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder that pumps out 257 HP (261 PS / 192 kW) and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque in the Euro-spec model. This engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive, with the car taking less than 5.5 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill and topping out at 143 mph (230 km/h).
