This Porsche 356 Restomod Is Being Built On A 911 SC’s Chassis

These images of a Porsche 356 restomod may be renderings but the car is actually being constructed by a coachbuilding company from Poland.

Responsible for the design is Bo Zolland, who is combining the iconic design of the original 356 with some more modern features to bring it into the 21st century.

Significant yet subtle changes have been made to the front. For starters, the shape of the fenders has been revised and they are now more pronounced than those of an ordinary 356. The headlights have been slightly repositioned and replaced with more modern units, and there is also a new lower bumper.

Elsewhere, the 356 restomod features Fuchs-style wheels with polished chrome rims, and a lower ride height. At the rear, the engine cover now has two grilles rather than one while new taillights have also been fitted. In addition, the 356 restomod features a custom bumper.

While the car in these renderings may look like a 356 with some custom body panels, the car will actually be based on the chassis of a 1985 Porsche 911 SC and will come complete with the SC’s 3.2-liter engine, while the custom parts will be made from a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber.
