One of the great thing about vehicles from Tesla are their support for over-the-air software updates and when you update hundreds of Teslas at the same time, this is what it looks like.

This intriguing video was filmed at one of Tesla’s factories, presumably its hub in Fremont, California and shows hundreds of Tesla Model 3s waiting to be delivered after rolling off the production line. Evidently, Tesla pushed out a software update at the same time the vehicles were sitting idle and with the cars flashing their hazard lights as they update, it makes for quite an entertaining light show.

While it was Tesla that pioneered the use of over-the-air updates in the automotive industry, most legacy car manufacturers are also working to deploy similar systems, or have already done so. For example, new BMW models come standard with over-the-air updates, including the automaker’s combustion-powered vehicles, not just its EVs.

Elsewhere, the likes of Hyundai and Kia have introduced over-the-air updates to some of its newer vehicles, both ICE and EVs. Volkswagen’s range of ID-branded EVs also offer over-the-air updates.

Speaking of Volkswagen’s ID models, images were recently revealed of the ID.6. The ID.6 has a similar design to the ID.4 but is much larger, measuring 192 inches (4,876 mm) long and complete with a 116.7 inch (2,965 mm) wheelbase. It will be sold exclusively with a single electric motor producing 201 hp and comes complete with an 82 kWh battery pack delivering an EPA-estimated range of 250 miles (402 km).
