The 2021 Hyundai Tucson Plug-in Hybrid is now available in the United Kingdom in two trim levels, Premium and Ultimate.
Priced at £39,330 (equal to $54,642) OTR, the Premium comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a touchscreen infotainment system with sat-nav, connected car services and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster.

Available from £42,030 ($58,393), the Ultimate grade adds 19-inch wheels, part-leather upholstery, a panoramic glass sunroof and an electric tailgate. It can also be equipped with the Tech Pack, which is exclusive to this model and brings electronically controlled suspension, remote smart park assist, around view monitor, blind spot view monitor and parking collision avoidance.
Other options include the Polar White paint finish, which is an extra £300 ($417) on both variants, metallic / pearl paint, a £665 ($924) option, and two-tone roof with teal interior pack that’s limited to the Premium and will set buyers back £575 ($799).
The new plug-in hybrid Tucson sports a 1.6-liter T-GDI Smartstream engine, a 67 kW (91 PS / 90 HP) electric motor and a 13.8 kWh lithium-polymer battery that enables a zero-emission range of up to 50 km (31 miles). The combined output is 265 PS (261 HP / 195 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) of 8.6 seconds and a 190 km/h (118 mph) top speed. The new Tucson PHEV uses a shift-by-wire six-speed automatic transmission and HTRAC all-wheel drive with Terrain Mode selector that optimizes power, torque and braking depending on the road conditions for improved traction.
