Set to arrive at dealers across the nation this spring, the 2021 Lexus LS 500h hybrid will join the regular LS 500 and LS 500 F Sport and will be pricier than its non-electrified brethren.

Prices have yet to be announced, but if this report is correct, then it might launch with an MSRP of $91,525, including the $1,025 destination charge.

Claiming to have gotten their hands on the official dealer order guide, CarsDirect says that the 2021 LS 500h will be $10,490 more expensive than the 2020 model year, which was priced from $81,035. And that’s for the rear-wheel drive variant, as opting for the all-wheel drive system will further bump the price by $3,250, to $94,775 – or $10,520 more than its predecessor.

The price is reportedly justified, with a spokesperson telling the website that the company’s hybrid flagship sedan will get extra gear as standard. This will include the Upgrade Package, air suspension, 20-inch wheels, panoramic view monitor, wood trim and wood steering wheel.

The official Lexus website also reveals other gear, such as leather upholstery, 28-way power adjustable driver’s seat with cushion extender and massage function, and heated rear seats, though it’s still unknown how many of these gizmos will be included as standard equipment.

The 2021 LS 500h’s hybrid powertrain has been optimized and has a total system output of 354 horsepower, allowing for a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 5.1 seconds. Fuel economy on the highway for the rear-wheel drive model is estimated by Lexus at 33 mpg (7.1 l/100 km).
