A very rare 2020 Ford GT MKII is being auctioned off at a Mecum Auctions event in May.
Unveiled in mid-2019, the Ford GT MKII is capped at just 45 units worldwide with each carrying a sticker price of $1.2 million. It is limited to track use and was developed by Ford Performance and Multimatic to deliver even more performance than the Ford GT race car.

Modifications start with the exterior that incorporates a plethora of new aerodynamic components, including a new splitter, diffuser, canards, and a towering rear wing which combine to produce 400 per cent more downforce than the road-going GT. The car also features race-derived, five-way adjustable Multimatic DSSV dampers with a high-speed blow-off.
Alterations were also made to the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6. Thanks to components such as an air-to-air outboard mounted charge air cooler with water spray technology and a roof-mounted air intake, the GT MK II pumps out 700 hp, 200 hp more than the GT race car, owing to the fact that the MK II doesn’t need to meet any racing regulations.
The listing reveals that the one-off livery of this car, which has only 15 miles on its odo, is inspired by the Le Mans car driven by Ken Miles. As such, the baby blue paint is accented by royal blue trimmings and red paint on the front fenders. Found within the cabin is an FIA-compliant roll cage, Sparco driver and passenger seats with six-point racing harnesses, and refrigerant cooling for a driver’s racing suit.
