With the launch of the Signature Edition, Callaway has breathed its tuning magic onto the Chevrolet Silverado and sliced a second from the time it takes to reach 60 mph.
The stock truck’s naturally aspirated 6.2-liter GM V8 jumps from 420 hp to 602 hp thanks to addition of a TVS R650 supercharger and an intercooler, while torque grows by 100 lb ft to 560 lb ft. Other mechanical changes include a new high-flow intake system, low-restriction exhaust and Callaway’s CalCal bespoke ECU program.

That extra muscle helps cut the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time from 5.4 to 4.3 seconds, or 0.7 seconds faster than a stock Camaro V6. And instead of crossing the quarter mile mark in 13.9 seconds at 100 mph, the Signature Edition gets there in 12.5 seconds with a 113 mph trap speed.
The double-cab Callaway – nothing to do with the 1930s jazz singer – is based on Chevy’s Trail Boss, RST, LTZ and High Country Silverados that come equipped with both four-wheel drive and the 6.2-liter V8.
Callaway-specific visual upgrades include carbon engine covers and radiator grille, aluminum door sill inserts, billet aluminum accelerator and brake pedal pads, an Alcantara boss for the steering wheel and a choice of 20-inch nine-spoke or 22-inch 10-spoke wheels.
And just in case your neighbor isn’t convinced, you also get Callaway key chains, a dash-mounted build plaque, and another plaque under the hood.
This Silverado is a far cry from the sporty Alfa Romeos, BMWs and Corvettes Reeves Callaway started out improving in the 1970s and 1980s, but it would probably annihilate most of them at the stop light.
