Ford is slashing $1,000 off the price of Mustang Mach-E models that have been delayed.

Emails sent to owners the Mustang Mach-E and those with orders reveals that Ford will cut the price of their vehicles by $1,000 as the company believes “that customers should be treated like family.” This offer isn’t just for those who are currently awaiting delivery either. In fact, those that have already received the keys to the Mach-Es can get in contact with Ford to claim the offer.

The car manufacturer is also providing Mach-E owners with an additional 250 kWh of complimentary fast charging at Electrify America stations, Mach-E Club reports. This extra charging adds to the 250 kWh of free charging already included as standard on all Mach-Es.

Ford confirmed in late January that customer deliveries of the Mustang Mach-E had been delayed. It was initially unclear why deliveries were pushed back by up to eight weeks but Ford quickly confirmed the delay was due to additional quality checks it was performing on several hundred models that recently rolled off the production line.

It has been claimed that the EV is suffering from an undisclosed quality issue, although Ford hasn’t confirmed if this is true.

Kicking off the Mustang Mach-E family in the U.S. is the $42,895 Select variant with 320 miles (370 km) of range. Other available versions include the Premium ($47,000), California Route 1 ($49,800), First Edition ($58,300), and the GT ($60,500). Sitting at the top of the range is the dual-motor Mach-E GT with 458 hp and 250 miles (402 km) of range.
