The next version of the Ferrari 812 Superfast is fast approaching and the latest teaser has been sent out to customers.
As discovered by CarBuzz, the photo comes from Instagram’s Rosso812, who has shared an alleged picture of the special 812. The computer screenshot shows a version of the car with a yellow stripe running down the center of it and what appears to be a massive vent in the hood.
The rear section of the roof looks like it will be changing significantly from the standard 812 Superfast. There’s metal running down significantly farther than on the standard car.
Although it doesn’t necessarily negate the presence of a back window, it all suggests some serious modifications, likely in pursuit of reducing weight, increasing stiffness, and improving airflow.

Last month, another leak showed Ferrari’s chief marketing officer, Enrico Galliera calling the car the 812 Versione Speciale. Reports have since suggested that the name was an internal, working title for the car and that the previously hinted at GTO moniker could actually be tied to the car.
Indeed, the Instagram post above (from the same channel that shared the video) suggests that the official name is still a mystery.
When it came out, the 812 Superfast has the most powerful V12 Ferrari had ever produced. The Monza SP1 and SP2 have since been revealed with a more powerful version of the engine, making 799 hp and 539 lb-ft of torque.
However Ferrari tunes the engine, it will be special. Rumors suggest that it will be the last naturally-aspirated V12 powered car the prancing horse ever produces.
Another, separate video shared to the Rosso812 Instagram feed shows Galliera announcing that the public reveal will happen in mid-April.
