The new Artura opens a new chapter in McLaren’s history as the brand’s first plug-in hybrid series-production model. In addition, the Artura is going to be McLaren’s first supercar to be offered with a new comprehensive warranty package to give owners greater peace of mind.
Every new McLaren Artura worldwide will be covered by a 5-year/50k miles (75,000km) vehicle warranty, 6-year/50k miles (75,000km) hybrid battery warranty, and 10-year, unlimited mileage, body (anti-perforation) warranty, as well as a 5-year roadside assistance coverage. Of course, one would have to read the small print, but on the face of it, it does sound compelling for a supercar.

Customers in Europe are also getting a 3-year service plan as standard. The service plan covers the cost of regular maintenance in the 12-month/9,000-mile/15,000km intervals and includes oil and filter changes, brake fluid replenishment, and full safety inspections. Artura owners in Europe will only have to pay for ‘wear and tear’ items, like brakes and tires.
“The all-new McLaren Artura was designed and engineered to perform at the highest level across the board, in electric power-only, zero-emission, urban commutes to weekend breaks, favorite-road drives, and trackday sessions,” said Jamie Corstorphine, Product Strategy Director at McLaren. “As well as setting new standards in the supercar class for performance and efficiency, it has a world-class warranty and service package to match, giving our customers peace-of-mind while they are enjoying their new high-performance hybrid supercar to the full.”
The McLaren Artura is powered by a brand-new plug-in hybrid powertrain with a combined output of 671 HP (680 PS) and 530 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. The new powertrain is comprised of an also new twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine with 577 HP (585 PS) and 431 lb-ft (585 Nm) of torque and an electric motor with 94 HP (95 PS) and up to 165 lb-ft (225 Nm) of instant torque.
The electrified McLaren can achieve a fuel economy of 50+ mpg at the WLTP cycle and emits just 129 g/km. In addition, the electrified supercar can run on electricity alone for 19 miles (30 km). Combine these figures with a 0-60 mph in 3 seconds flat, 0-124 mph (200 km/h) in 8.3 seconds, and a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h), and the Artura appears to have all bases covered.
Prices for the McLaren Artura start from $225,000 in the US market, with customers given the choice between four trim levels: entry-level, Performance, TechLux, and Vision.
