McLaren would beg to differ, as they would want to lure you in with their GT. The first-ever truly comfortable Macca made its official debut in 2019, and showed what it’s made of in the numerous reviews that followed after.

So why are we still talking about it if nothing has changed in the meantime? Because the British exotic carmaker has brought it forward once more, in an official promo that shows it unleashed on a twisty road. Named ‘Defy the Limits’, the clip made its way online accompanied by a short caption.
“The McLaren GT defies the boundaries of engineering to create a feeling that you can do anything. GT is the only one of its kind with a carbon fiber chassis and lighter than anything in its class. McLaren GT. Defy the limits.”
Tipping the scales at 3,373 pounds (1,530 kg), the GT has a 399 HP per ton power-to-weight ratio. Power is supplied by the ubiquitous twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, which makes 611 HP (620 PS / 456 kW) and 465 pound-feet (630 Nm) of torque, and is coupled to a seven-speed automatic transmission. From nought to 62 mph (0-100 km/h), it needs just 3.2 seconds, and flat-out, it will do 203 mph (326 km/h).
On top of that, it features bespoke suspension for increased ride comfort and generous cargo capacity of around 20 cu-ft (420 liters) combined, so it’s always ready for a weekend getaway or a trip to the supermarket.
