The S14-generation Nissan Silvia is beloved by JDM and drifting enthusiasts but, for some reason, someone modified this one and gave it some American flair.

This Silvia was recently purchased in Japan and is being imported into the United States by Pacific Coast Auto. Its looks won’t be to everyone’s taste but it’s undeniably striking and when it does land on U.S. roads, it will definitely turn some heads.

The most obvious modification made to this Silvia is the fitment of an aftermarket bodykit. Dubbed the V2 Boss, it comes from Rocket Bunny and includes an all-new front fascia reminiscent of a Dodge Challenger or Plymouth ‘Cuda from the 1970s thanks to the simple grille and round headlights. Viewed from the front alone, you’d have no idea this was a Nissan, let alone a JDM icon.

In addition to the new front fascia, the kit includes flared front and rear wheel arches, while at the rear there is a distinctive bumper and a large ducktail spoiler. Interestingly, the taillights have been left untouched and don’t quite match the retro headlights.

The owner of the car has also fitted a set of aftermarket wheels and had the exterior painted in a unique shade of matte purple. Some tweaks have also been made to the cabin, including the installation of a racing bucket seat and an aftermarket steering wheel.
