The first customer example of Singer’s Porsche 911 DLS restomod has been completed and had its first shakedown at the hands of the company’s founder and chairman Rob Dickinson.
Dickinson was pretty happy after the first drive of the company’s latest creation, judging by the provided images and what he said once he climbed out of the rather gorgeous Oak Green Metallic Singer 911 which started life as a 1989 Porsche 964.

“What a fantastic experience! The towering team of talented heroes we managed to assemble for the Dynamics and Lightweighting Study has produced an astonishing result – the car is simply extraordinary,” said Dickinson.
“I am so happy for our commissioning clients – we will be repaying their immense patience and trust with a truly remarkable machine,” he added.
Singer will offer just 75 examples of its DLS restomod, with all of them built at the company’s UK facilities. DLS stands for Dynamics and Lightweighting Study and has been developed in collaboration with technical partners such as Williams Advanced Engineering, Bosch, Michelin, Brembo, Hewland, and BBS Motorsports.
Power comes from a new and unique naturally aspirated 4.0-liter, four-valve-per-cylinder, flat-six engine that was designed with consultation from legendary Porsche engineer Hans Mezger. The result is an air-cooled engine that revs up to 9,000 rpm and produces 500 HP.
In addition, the whole bodywork is re-engineered, aero-optimized, and made out of carbon fiber, while the whole car underwent an extensive diet. The goal here was to create the most advanced air-cooled restomod for a Porsche 911 and the end result is pretty staggering, as is the price, at $1.8 million.
More examples of Singer’s crown jewel are currently being built at their UK facilities, so you better prepare for some serious drooling.
