Hot on the heels of Chris Harris driving the limited-edition Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, Top Gear Magazine editor Jack Rix had the chance to check out the car for himself and talks us through some of its cool details.
While the Sian is based on the Aventador SVJ, it is more than simply an Aventador with a bodykit. In fact, it is Lamborghini’s first hybrid production model and not only that but it is also a hybrid unlike any other currently on sale.

You see, rather than supplementing the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 with a heavy lithium-ion battery pack, Lamborghini instead decided to equip the Sian with an advanced supercapacitor that’s a third the weight of a lithium-ion battery yet delivers three times the power from the same density. The supercapacitor also charges and discharges considerably faster than a traditional battery, meaning owners can always enjoy the boost in acceleration it provides. All up, the Sian FKP 37 delivers 808 HP.
The design of the car also distinguishes it from the Aventador. The front end is one of the most eye-catching areas of the car and features LED daytime running lights inspired by those of the Terzo Millennio concept from a car years ago. Lamborghini has also given the Sian some Countach-inspired design elements, including its side air intakes.
This overview of the supercar also details the interior and while many of the components have been borrowed from the Aventador, there are some unique elements, including the portrait-oriented touchscreen and 3D-printed air vents.
