Just 64 examples of the road-going McLaren F1 were ever produced and one of them is now for sale in the United States.

The listing at Issimi reveals that this F1 was one of just seven units originally sold in the United States but curiously, it is short on details and missing some of the information we would expect to see, such as the car’s mileage and its ownership history. What we do know is that it has just two previous owners.

As you’re probably well aware, the McLaren F1 is powered by a 6.1-liter naturally-aspirated V12 from BMW that produces 618 hp at 7,400 rpm and 429 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque at 5,600 rpm. This engine features an aluminum alloy block and heads, as well as a dry sump oil lubrication system. Mated to the V12 is a six-speed manual transmission with a carbon triple-plate clutch and an aluminum flywheel.

Elsewhere, the F1 rocks a carbon fiber reinforced polymer monocoque and tips the scales at just 1,138 kg (2,509 lbs). It goes without saying that the F1 was ahead of its time when it was launched and it’s only now that Gordon Murray, the man behind McLaren’s first-ever supercar, has been able to introduce a spiritual successor to the F1 in the form of the T.50.

No asking price for the car has been made public, but we presume that it will be at least somewhere around $15 million, and possibly even more.
