Remember America’s Ferrari Wannabe, The Falcon F7 Supercar? One Of Them Is For Sale

The Falcon F7 is one of the more intriguing performance cars to come out of the U.S. in recent memory and one of the few examples built is currently up for auction.

Falcon only ended up building just seven examples of the F7 and this example is number 3. It was displayed at the Detroit Auto Show in 2014 and also featured in an episode of ‘How it’s Made: Dream Cars’.

The listing at Cars & Bids states that Falcon Motorsport has serviced the car since it was new and that the clutch and an axle shaft were recently replaced. It is also noted that the naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 sourced from the C6 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that powers the F7 has been tuned by Lingenfelter and churns out 620 hp and 585 lb-ft (793 Nm) of torque. Mated to the V8 is a six-speed gated manual transmission driving the rear wheels.

Among the key features of the car are 20-inch Forgeline wheels and a coilover suspension system from Penske. The roof panel can also be removed, much like another particularly famous American sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette.

Underpinning the F7 is a monocoque chassis using aluminum, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. When new, the car could hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in as little as 3.3 seconds and, as this example has just 3,300 miles on the clock, it should run and perform just as well as it did when it left the factory.
