A C5 Chevrolet Corvette unlike any other is looking for a new home and currently up for sale in Mesa, Arizona. It has undergone such significant modifications that most people on the street would struggle to determine what it actually is.
This particular 2004 Corvette has been overhauled by a company by the name of Advanced Automotive Technologies (AAT). The company took inspiration from the Chevrolet Nomad Wagon concept based on the Corvette in 1954 and created what’s officially known as the ‘Retrovette.’ It is one of just six Nomad models built by AAT and just one of two to be finished in red.

The front end of the car immediately draws you in as it has been inspired by the C1-generation Corvette and includes a chrome grille, two circular headlights, and chrome accents on either side of the bumper. The C1 theme continues down the sides with additional chrome trim and a set of chrome wheels. However, it is not the front that is the most controversial area of the vehicle’s design, it is the rear.
Stretching back from the C4’s standard roof is a glass canopy that almost turns the car into a Shooting Brake. As if that wasn’t enough, there are also taillights and a rear bumper very similar to that of the C1 Corvette. All in all, the exterior is a weird mishmash and the results are not pretty.

Powering the car is the C4’s standard LS1 V8 engine that produces a cool 350 hp and is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.
The car has a ‘Buy It Now’ price on eBay of $124,995, a sum we suspect very few people would be willing to spend.
