The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe is a very capable SUV straight from the box, yet PerformMaster has launched a performance upgrade that gives it some extra oomph.
By applying their PEC tuning module, the German tuning house has managed to squeeze out 712 PS (702 HP / 524 kW) and 965 Nm (712 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint now takes 3.6 seconds, or two tenths of a second more than the Ferrari 458 Italia, and with the optional V-max removal, it tops out at 300 km/h (186 mph).

Unlike other ECU remaps, PerformMaster’s PEC tuning module, which suits a variety of Mercedes-AMG models that use the same power unit, kicks in when the engine reaches the optimal operating temperature so that it doesn’t cause premature wear. The tuner states that it can be easily removed, thus returning the GLE 63 S Coupe to standard specification in no time. It also comes with TUV approval in Germany, and to find out how much it costs, interested parties will have to reach out to PerformMaster directly.
In stock form, the GLE 63 S Coupe’s twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 delivers 612 PS (603 HP / 450 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). According to Mercedes-AMG, it needs 3.8 seconds for the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration, and flat-out, it will do 250 km/h (155 mph), or 280 km/h (174 mph) with the optional AMG Driver’s Pack. The 571 PS (563 HP / 420 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) GLE 63 is 0.2 seconds slower.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe is available from €142,585.80 ($169,696) in Germany and $116,000 in the States.
